Nylon Lifting Sling Replacement Guidelines
When it comes to lifting, safety is paramount. That’s why most of our customers purchase replacements far in advance. Fortunately, YellowSlings.com makes replacing industrial lifting slings easy with our simple Checkout process and quick turnaround time.
Inspection Points: Here are some things to look for during inspection. If you see the following damage points, immediately remove the web slings and order replacements.
- Acid or caustic burns
- Melting or charring of any part of the sling
- Holes, tears, cuts or snags
- Broken or worn stitching in load-bearing splices
- Excessive abrasive wear
- Knots in any part of the sling
- Excessive pitting or corrosion or cracked, distorted or broken fittings
- Other visible damage that causes doubt as to the strength of the sling
You should replace your web slings before you see our red warning yarns or notice any distortion in the sling. Also, be sure you can read the identification tag and follow its rated capacity. |
