Nylon Lifting Sling Safety & Inspection

At YellowSlings.com, your safety is our primary concern. That’s why our web slings meet WSTDA guidelines -- we insist on attention to detail at every step of the manufacturing process. Our products are rigorously tested to ensure they live up to our claims.

Here are some questions you should ask yourself to decrease the risk factor of lifting on the job:

How often are your slings used?
The more frequently you use an industrial lift sling, the more you should inspect it. This is especially true when using a web sling on multiple pieces of equipment.

What environment are you lifting in?
Harsh weather or chemicals will take a toll on your lifting slings. Evaluate the working environment to determine how frequently you should inspect your slings.

Who is inspecting your slings?
Your inspector should have experience handling and using industrial lift slings so he or she knows what to look for. Inspectors should visually inspect all slings before each lift. Annual inspections must also be made by a qualified professional and permanent records kept.
